Battery capacity is measured in kWh. Ask the provider to explain usable capacity alongside charging and output limits, and which figures matter for your household. A larger capacity alone is not a design recommendation.

Ask whether power-cut backup is included, what additional equipment or work it requires and which circuits it would support. Do not assume it is included.

Can I explore a battery without solar panels?
Yes. Select “I do not have solar panels” in the storage enquiry. That records your starting point; it does not confirm a provider will accept the project or that a particular tariff or battery will suit you.
Will a battery work with my existing inverter?
Compatibility has to be assessed for the specific equipment and design. We do not promise that every battery works with every inverter. Existing model information is useful if you already have it, but optional in this enquiry.
Is backup power included?
Do not assume it is. Ask the provider whether its proposed design includes power-cut backup, what it supports and whether extra equipment or work is required.
How is this different from new solar with a battery?
